  • Ashley Cooke

Raised between the coasts of California and Florida, Ashley Cooke is an up-and-coming country artist who is bringing authentic and honest storytelling to her music. The singer/songwriter developed her love of country music as Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line quickly became the soundtrack of high school. Cooke followed her passion for music to Belmont University where she won the Country Showcase, placing her in an elite class of winners that includes Brad Paisley, Chris Young, Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, and more.

Throughout 2020, Cooke continued gaining traction on TikTok where she has amassed 625K followers and 7.2M likes. Cooke noticed the void in Nashville for a content creation studio for rising country musicians and co-founded The 615 House.

Cooke has been writing with Nashville’s A-List songwriters including Craig Wiseman, Nicolle Galyon, Tofer Brown and more. She released her first full length project “Already Drank That Beer - Side A” in August produced by award-winner Jimmy Robbins and will have new music coming in early 2022.

  • Blake Pendergrass

Back Blocks Music announced the signing of its flagship songwriter Blake Pendergrass to an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement. This is Pendergrass’ first publishing deal and comes on the heels of the success of the BMI-affiliate’s first major cut: Morgan Wallen’s “865.”

“From the very first playlist of demos I heard I became a fan of Blake’s and knew I needed to work with him. I loved his dynamic songwriting, work ethic, and the versatile network of writers he is building—it felt like a perfect fit,” says Rakiyah Marshall, Founder/CEO of Back Blocks Music. “I am thrilled to have Blake be a part of the Back Blocks family and the first publishing client. There are big things to come and I’m excited for our future together.”

A Raleigh, North Carolina native, Pendergrass moved to Nashville to study commercial music at Belmont University. At the end of 2020, Pendergrass got word he earned a coveted spot on Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album. He was the only un-signed writer on the 30-song project. Pendergrass also has cuts with Chris Lane and newcomer Ashley Cooke.

  • Lily Rose

Touting an identifiable sound described as contemporary, vulnerable and raw, Lily Rose is breaking new ground in the Nashville music scene with her ear-catching artistry that’s been tapped as “a promising new talent” by Billboard. Rose grew up in Atlanta as a self-taught drummer and guitarist but it wasn't until high school that she discovered her voice. As an athlete and distinguished singer, Rose had to decide which avenue to pursue. Bar sets and cover shows in her college town of Athens, GA led to headlining and sold out shows across Athens, Atlanta, Nashville and NYC, prompting her to make the move to Nashville in 2017. Her musical influences range from Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Bruce Springsteen to Katy Perry reflecting her innate ability to adopt a "futuristic" 21st century country sound. She currently resides in Nashville where she continues to write and record new music with a focus on melody and hook driven songwriting style, which has proven to resonate among country, pop and rock alike.

After blazing onto the Country scene with her Dec. 2020 release of “Villain,” Rose quickly grabbed the attention of Big Loud Records / Back Blocks Music and Republic Records and signed a joint-venture record deal in Jan. 2021. In the months following, Rose released four more songs, which earned her critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Billboard, People, Music Row, and CMT with more than 72M global artist streams to date. On Oct. 1, Rose is set to release a seven-song new project, Stronger Than I Am, as she continues to introduce herself to new fans through her “confident ease blending musical styles” (Rolling Stone) and “dusky, soulful voice” (CMT). Rose will also join Chris Lane’s Fill Them Boots Tour throughout Fall 2021 and early 2022.
